Always look at the bright side
As a species, mankind tends to focus on the negative. Just watching the news or reading a newspaper is a clear indicator of that. The main reason why this happens is that our neurological system is wired to be addicted in emotional states and we are trained to be connected to the so-called “fight or flight” modes, like fear or anger. These survival emotions carry a huge energy and it’s that intensity that completely takes our attention. We may choose not to indulge with it, by placing our attention in things that bring us joy, in things that elevate our state. The challenge is our programming, since from early childhood we have been believing that these emotions could serve us. They do serve us in their own way, but as we raise our awareness, we expand our perspective and we realize there are a wide number of other emotions that are more effective to achieve not only the same, but actually better results. It’s the whole principle behind power versus force.
