Born in the 80s
The generation that is turning 40
If you were born in the 80s you have memories of waiting a whole week for an episode to play on TV at that specific time on that one day so you could follow up on the story of the series you loved (and you knew there were crowds of people who were doing the exact same thing as you).
If you were born in the 80s you have memories of calling someone on a rotary dial phone to pick a time and a place to meet without knowing what would actually happen on that date just trusting that the universe would somehow make it all work out. Basically you lived (slightly) better with the uncertainty of life.
If you were born in the 80s you have memories of hoping that your favorite song would play on the radio so you could record it (and just sit there quietly expecting the dog wouldn’t bark while the song was being registered on your tape).
If you were born in the 80s you visited a record store to listen to all the songs of the new albums of your favorite bands.
If you were born in the 80s you have recorded a film that was going to play on TV on a videotape only to find out later that the last part of the previous program was recorded in the beginning of the tape, and maybe your film wasn’t recorded until the ending.
